Quarter 2 Book Reports

Saturday, January 23, 2016

We completed presentations of Quarter 2 Book Reports on Wednesday!  I am blown away at the amount of work put into these projects.  The students were so proud to present their project and explain to the class about their book.

Our next book report is due March 24th and the genre is Historical Fiction.  Students should look for a historical book that his fictional characters.  Almost all of them wanted to do one of the Who was....? or Where was...? books, so I told them that I would only allow 2 of them, so the first two students to return their paper with one of those books would be allowed to use them.  This way we do not have 18 presentations on the same book or close to the same book.

Here are pictures of my proud students showing their book report projects.  I cannot wait to see what they do for Quarter 3!  Just remember, that they cannot use a project that they already have used in Quarter 1 or Quarter 2.

Book Report #1

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

What a blast we've had the past two days presenting our first book reports!!  I am so extremely proud of how awesome the projects were.  Students put so much thought and creativity into making them amazing.  It was wonderful watching each student present and the feedback they received from their peers on their biography and project.  I look forward to seeing their second book reports on January 14th!!

If you have any questions on the book report projects, please check out the Book Report packet on the Class Info page.  Just remember that students must select a different type of project for each book report.  They are not allowed to repeat a project.  Also, Book Report #2 is based on a realistic fiction book.  We looked at some different books today, by simply Googling "Realistic Fiction books for 3rd grade"!

Book Report #1

Wow!!!  I am so excited about our first Book Reports for the year.  When students came through the door Wednesday, there was so much excitement when they saw each other's work.  These projects are truly amazing.  Students and families put in so much work putting these together.  I have taken a few pictures of some and still have more pictures to take.  I've uploaded the pictures I have taken and will add the new ones once I get them all done.  Hopefully tomorrow!!  Thank you, Mom and Dad, for your support and hard work.  They could not have done this without you.
