Good Morning, I'm sure by now you have all received the One Call about school being closed today. After reading the Camp Lejeune Facebook page and Comments from residents who travel from all around, it looks like it's not too bad, but could possibly become so later this morning. As of now, Sneads Ferry is looking pretty good, but crossing the bridge to get onto base may be another story. Enjoy this day off and hopefully we will see your kiddo(s) tomorrow. Stay warm!
Well, here we are again with another snow day!! According to the weatherman, tomorrow might not be much better. CLDS has not made an official call about Wednesday, but it's not looking too good. So, when we do return to school this week, I will modify all student class work to allow for the snow days and the 100th Day of School on Thursday, AND our class Valentine's Celebration on Friday. We will figure out a way to work it all out!! Stay warm and enjoy these added days off!!
I'm sure you've all heard by now, but school is officially closed Tuesday and Wednesday. We will have a 3 hour delay on Thursday, if they do not officially call school. The weather Thursday is not looking too good, so that may impact road conditions. Hopefully, after this we can catch up on all the missed days, which equal missed lessons. Terra Nova's are creeping up on us (5 weeks til) and we have lots to learn between now and then.
If your kiddo gets a chance to build a snowman, take a picture and email it to me! We can post them here. After all, we hardly ever get snow in NC, so this is a fun way to celebrate it!
